B&B

Last weekend we welcomed our next round of visitors, my brother Brandon and his wife Barrie. We were so excited to show of Albuquerque to more people. They flew in Saturday afternoon and after a great barbecue lunch we headed downtown to see the last of Summerfest in the Plaza. It was Latina night. We enjoyed the variety and weather.

That night we watched "Lake view Terrace", little creepy, but entertaining!

Sunday was Brandon's birthday, Happy Birthday Brother!! He and Barrie spent the day touring North West New Mexico. Barrie had wanted to visit the four corners monument for a while. They made a trip to Aztec as well.
Monday while Chance was at work the rest of us spent the day in Santa Fe. We walked the plaza, saw the capital building, and some historic churches and buildings.

Brandon and Barrie helped out so much with Bailey. Long days made her a little cranky, and they didn't complain a bit! Thanks guys, you made my life so much easier!
That night we went to Village Inn for dinner. Not a typical stop in Albuquerque, but sentimental for Brandon and Barrie, and delicious.
Afterwards we went to walk the temple grounds. There is always a peaceful feeling there, I'm grateful for any opportunity to be near it.

Tuesday was a long, hot, fun filled day spent at the Biopark. This time we started in the gardens, took the train to the zoo, where the polar bear was eager to pose for pictures, then back to the aquarium.

Dinner at a local favorite, Frontier Restaurant, topped off by watching "Swing Vote".

Wednesday Chance was back to work while the rest of us went to the free day at the New Mexico Museum of Art and History. Some of the modern art was a little too abstract for our taste, but the historic artifacts were pretty neat. After lunch at Flying Star Cafe, we had a little time to relax and chat before heading off to the airport.
It was so great to catch up and get to know Brandon and Barrie even better. We are grateful to have such great family coming to visit. We love you guys and wish you were closer so we could visit more often!!
