Well, Sunday night they took Beth off of the Magnesium or what the nurses call the 'Mag' to see how her blood pressure reacted. Everything looks normal now and Beth is recovering very quickly. Bailey spent the night in our room for the first time Sunday night and we are finally bonding with our new little girl. As for pictures......
I thought I might get into trouble posting the picture of Beth after delivery so to make up for it here is an ugly one of myself after three days of sleeping on a board. I forgot to pack a few important items such as deodorant and a razor. Also, one change of clothes was apparently not enough. Anyway, here is the dad in all his third night sleepless glory. While Beth was napping yesterday I was able to go snap a few pictures of the hospital just to keep the blog rolling.
If things are looking better by this afternoon we might be going home tonight but we are in no hurry and we might be spending one more night here just to be safe.
By the way, for anyone who has heard about the condition Beth was in before labor (Preeclampsia) just know that things are fine now. For those of you who don't know what it is don't worry yourself if you find horror stories on a google search about the effects of Preeclampsia. We were able to catch it very early, deliver the baby, keep Beth's blood pressure under control, and allow time for her to rest and recover as we watch the swelling in her feet go down. We are all doing great now and look forward to moving on to our new parental roles.

We wish you all the best for a speedy recovery! And lots of sleep! :)
i'm so glad bailey got to stay with you guys last night. the nurses were pretty strict about us not falling asleep while isaac was in my bed and i was so nervous to take my eyes off him in his little cart so i had him go to the nursery...which i totally regret now. i'm glad things are starting to get better. and chance...you look lovely. when i saw that picture i had to jump around on the paragraph to make sure no one died...because you seriously look like death! haha ok well we are really excited for you guys and isaac is even excited to have a cousin!
ps...rhonda said you sent us a picture message but we never received one...luckily i checked your blog all day so i was only about three hours late finding out!
Way to go Beth! I'm so glad everything is going well! Thanks for keeping us updated Chance - and thanks for the picture of you! Good luck with ... everything!
You look good considering the circumstances Chance. Congrats again. And Beth, I really hope that recovery is quick for you. You poor girl. I wish we lived closer and I could do something to help! I hope you have a good ward to take care of you guys there while you get on your feet and used to what your doing!
Chance you are so funny. I was just telling Jeff that I would kill him if he posted a picture of me on the blog right after delivering a baby. And now it is gone. Your pic is great, hehehe. So glad Beth is recovering well. Can't wait to see more baby pics.
Congrats! What a beautiful little girl (even with the bruises)! What tough cookies you are! I am glad that Beth and the baby are doing well. What a relief that you caught her symptoms early so you didn't have a lot more complications. I took care of some very sick babies while I was a nurse in the newborn intensive care unit. I was glad that I didn't read about it all 'till you knew that everyone is doing fine. I look forward to more pictures!
Congrats Beth and Chance! How exciting for you! What a beautiful little girl! Baby girls are so much fun!!!
